Home is not really home

When Rose(not real name) went to her grannie's place, she thought she'd gone home. Ok not that she'd planned to stay there for good, she just made a stop over as she was going to her other lovely grannie's in the countryside. She had/has her problems, big ones by the way. But she doesn't go around telling 'em to anybody. She's quite a guarded person, she dowana open up to someone if they're not really gonna help her out that much. But she did, because 1) They insisted and 2) She thought they were family. And they promised to do something for her. Now because of that, she was indirectly forced to stay.

The stay was all nice and lovely, till when her grannie, after numerous failures at finding her a job, finally got it. Ok it's not that she(the grannie) got it, and Rose doesn't wana sound like she's not grateful for the effort the former put in, because she truly is. But to be honest, she found it on the internet through her friend. All the grannie did was to escort her to the place to put in her application.
So she started working. Problems came in with how the grannie wanted to share the little girl's pay. This is the same person that said she should pay upto 90% of her salary to campus for her tuition, and she absolutely had no problem with that. And of course she was planning to give her some. But she wanted a bigger share of the remainder, and Rose wasn't really cool with that. I guess anybody else wouldn't be.

Now before Rose even told her grannie how much she was gonna give her, the latter started quarreling! Shouting up & down, around & about, about how stingy she is, how she's old and should be given almost everything (she says that quite a lot!!), how the girl is just wasting her energy and how if it weren't for her, she wouldn't have got the job.
People are soo forgetful! For all Rose's stay, she'd sacrificed her hard earned little cash for their well being. Where the situation got outta hand sometimes, she always filled the gap whenever she had the means. But people are soo forgetful.

Now she wouldn't really care that much about being scolded at, but her grannie started blaming her for her Dad's mistakes. Her dad failed to pay for her tuition(But that's a story for another day), and did loads of other terrible things to her, but this lady brought it all down to her! But why??? Why???
She thought she'd gone home. A place where she'd be accepted as she is. A place where feeling good never costs a thing(picked that from a song), a place where people wouldn't judge her basing on other people's mistakes.

She was hurt. Hurt soo much to the extent that she silently cried deep inside. Why do people act like they care but deep down inside they don't?? She's just praying to God she creates her own home, where she can totally feel at home.

She thought she'd gone home, I guess she was wrong. Home is not really home.
